Manuel Joey A. Regala, better known as “Joey” is currently President of the newly formed Information Security Officers Group (ISOG), an organization comprising of Security leaders from various financial institutions in the Philippines, Joey is also the Chairman of the Philippine National Police ACG-Council (Anti-Cybercrime Group).Joey armed with more than 34 years of management experience in Information Technology and IT Security on Financial Systems with a proven track record on implementing an effective information security infrastructure to protect clients’ Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and the company’s information assets from unauthorized access and disclosure. He is also a specialist in design and implementation of an effective information security architecture suitable for an organization. Joey, on top of the said roles above, is a full time Vice President and CISO of UCPB, a leading provider of financial products and services to corporations, private and government institutions, small-and-medium-sized businesses and individuals. Also a past Board Member of ISACA-Manila 2014 (Information Systems Audit & Control Association) and of ITIP 2014, and Vice President for TSIG Interest Group. A Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Public 3Accountant (CPA) and an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer. Joey continues his advocacy to enable and build Cyber Security awareness in the Philippines by leveraging on his deep engagement with stakeholders in various industries.
